ROBERT J. RIAL– Lead Vocals, Tenor Guitar, Tenor Banjo, Six String Guitars.
ERIN JORDAN– Vocals, Piano, Accordion, Guitar
STEVE BAZ– Drums, Back-Up Vocals
AUSTIN QUIST– Upright Bass, Sousaphone, Back-Up Vocals
ERIK REED– Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Back-Up Vocals
SABRINA POPE– Clarinet
THE CHICAGO DAYS
- IN 2003, Bakelite 78 was formed in Chicago, Ill. The band was comprised of Robert J. Rial on vocals and tenor guitar, Jason Grey on percussion and accordion, Bob Kessler on harmonica and clarinet, Rich Unetich on trumpet, and Ariel Bolles on upright bass, back-up vocals & trombone, (with occasional help from Gary “Elvis” Schepers on sousaphone, & Holly Stevens and Courtney Glascoe on harmony vox)
- Bakelite 78 performed throughout Chicago at such venues as The California Clipper, The Hideout, The Old Town School Of Folk Music, FitzGerald’s, The “FAMOUS” PIZZA Lounge, The Bad Dog Tavern, The Bucktown Arts Festival, The Charleston, The Taste Of Lincoln Festival, The City Of Evanston’s Starlight Concert Series, The Candlelite and The Horseshoe.
